Questions about the search result image

What size is the App Store search result image?

3:2 landscape, from 1920 × 1280 up to 3840 × 2560 pixels, as a PNG or JPEG without transparency. DuoShots makes it at 3840 × 2560.

Does it replace my screenshots in search?

On iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 it shows in search in place of your row of screenshots. On older versions people still see your first screenshots, so keep those strong too.

What is the safe area?

Each iPhone and iPad shows a slightly different part of the image. Keep your headline and main phone inside the middle 2168 × 1030 pixels: DuoShots draws that box for you. The preview in App Store Connect shows the exact result.

Can I put text on it?

Yes, but keep it short: one idea in a few words. Apple rejects prices, discounts, web addresses, other platforms, and awards you can't prove.

Can the search result image be a video?

Yes: Apple also takes a 5 to 30 second video that loops, muted. DuoShots makes the still image.

Will it match my screenshots?
